Copper grease is an anti seize lubricant. Classed as a compound and also reffered to as copper slip, copper grease is designed to prevent the seizure of threaded applications, also items subject to high heat and pressure and corrosive atmospheres. Copper grease is highly resistant to brine water, chemicals, alkalis and mild acids and steam. The use of copper grease is extensive within the motor industry on the non friction side (back) of brake pads to prevent brake squeal. The protection of battery terminals is also a common use for copper grease.
